2022 Members Meeting Report

On August 22nd, HamWAN Memphis Metro, Inc held its annual members meeting. The purpose of this meting was to conduct an open business meeting for members to participate and to elect directors for the corporation. Congratulations to the incoming board members:

Cliff Gurlen, NS4B, is a long time maker and tinkerer and has served on the boards for Midsouth Makers, Memphis Digital Amateur Radio Club, and Leading Edge Wireless Amateur Radio Club. Cliff is responsible for unified communications and collaboration tools for FedEx.

Michael Knight, KK4IOH, is past Vice President of Delta Amateur Radio Club, W4BS, and a past member of Tri-State Repeater Association, Olive Branch Amateur Radio Club, Mid-South Amateur Radio Association, and Memphis Digital Amateur Radio Club. Michael works in healthcare technology for Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare.

Ryan Turner, K0RET, is the Tennessee AMPRNet coordinator, a NWS Liaisons for the Memphis office, and has previously served on the board for both HamWAN Memphis Metro and the Puget Sound Data Ring. Professionally, he works in engineering management at Indeed.com with an emphasis on web technology.

Sam Eichold, K4SOF, is a technophile who operates an off-grid WiFi and sensor network on an ___ acre farm for fun; he also operates GMRS and amateur radio app_rpt based repeaters. Sam works in IT AutoZone enabling teams to build and deploy complex systems at scale.
